This week, co-founders Nick Coleman and Andy Allen beat hundreds of entrants to be named Virgin Foodpreneur 2017. Together with intu, #VirginFoodpreneur is a nationwide competition shining a light on the best food and drink businesses in Britain.
At an exclusive event in London, the guys pitched to an all-star judging panel – Levi Roots, founder of Reggae Reggae Sauce, author and entrepreneur Alice Liveing, friend of GROW@GreenPark, Paul Lindley of Ella’s Kitchen, and Jim Cregan, founder of Jimmy’s Iced Coffee. Finalists were food and drink super-stars Tuk Tuk Chai, Love Cocoa and Love Corn.
Nick and Andy win six weeks’ retail space in Intu Lakeside, the retail centre with the highest footfall in the UK. This follows last year’s success on Dragon’s Den, where they won over entrepreneur Nick Jenkins to invest in their rapidly growing gourmet brand.
Snaffling Pig is reinventing the humble pork scratching, with a host of exciting flavours, use of high-quality pork crackling and distinct piggy-led marketing.
