The role

We are looking for a mature, enthusiastic person to join our small but experienced technical consultancy and implementation team.  Our dynamic consultancy team work across multiple projects implementing Service Management platforms and IT Support tools.

As a Technical Implementation Specialist, you will work in our projects team helping them develop and support exciting new platforms and implementations and help our existing customers gain the most out of the solutions we offer. You will be fully supported by the company on a 2-year apprentice programme and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn a huge amount of skills and gain professionally recognised accreditations in Cherwell technology, databases, customer service, service management and Microsoft cloud technologies.

You’ll learn how to: 

  • Work with others to build customer specific solutions using the Cherwell workflow module
  • To deliver effective testing and defect management
  • Help identify root cause of defects, impact analysis, remediation etc.
  • Support project work including bespoke configurations and enhancements
  • Build customer reports and self-service portals
  • Build hosting environments for customers and work with Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Supporting incident management
  • Platform configuration
  • Day to day support for Customer Services
  • Get involved in go-lives and post go live support
  • Create and update systems documentation and maintaining technical support guides

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with:

  • Customer facing skills
  • A passion for technology and technical solutions
  • You would need to have a general understanding of computer hardware and software and an appetite to learn quickly
  • An understating of databases would be advantageous but not required
  • Attention to details
  • Own driving licence and car – some travel to customer sites will be required

Qualifications required 

  • 6 x GCSE (or equivalent experience) at grades A-C
  • 3 x A Levels (or equivalent experience)


  • Reading and the surrounding areas
  • Some travel to UK customers will be required

Working week 

  • Monday to Friday, 9-5.30, 37.5 hrs p/w


  • £15,000 per annum
