The role

We’re seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our growing company and based at our new headquarters in Reading, Berkshire. You will be skilled in the art of managing multiple individual projects as part of a programme of works. You’ll use your excellent communication skills to bring together multiple teams across a variety of disciplines, ensuring delivery according to schedule, specifications and appropriate regulatory and technical standards.

Reporting to C-Level, you will coordinate multiple projects (both internal and external) to ensure they are delivered on time. You’ll have accountability for on-time delivery of milestones, with a key focus on quality.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing short and long-term program objectives in accordance with the Company’s strategy, and ensuring they are met.
  • You’ll liaise with key customers and customer accounts to ensure stakeholders’ concerns are adequately dealt with and progress is regularly communicated.
  • You’ll write (and own) statements of work, together with the responsibility for ensuring projects are correctly scoped.
  • You’ll help to ensure teams are appropriately resourced and you’ll help coordinate time-off for team members involved in delivery.
  • You’ll keep a watchful eye on delivery to the budget and help set new budgets for new projects.
  • Create and implement guidelines for evaluating the program’s strengths and areas where improvement is required.
  • Working with engineering team leaders, you’ll balance the requirements of multiple projects across available resources and set priorities appropriately.
  • Resolve problems with projects as they arise and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Monitor the progress of projects and report this in regular meetings with managers and key stakeholders.

Minimum requirements:

  • One (or more) qualifications in project management or equivalent experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other topic relevant to the industry or equivalent experience

Salary Range:£40,000-£60,000 (dep. on experience)
