   Job Description

To be honest – we’re looking for a geek (or even two)!  If you live, breathe, even love developing on computers – then you could be the kind of person we are looking for.

Navitas Solutions Ltd is a friendly, exciting development company based in central Wokingham, Berkshire providing cutting edge technology solutions to the travel industry. We have a wide range of off the shelf products whilst also providing a bespoke development service creating applications matching customer specific requirements.

As a result of constant increasing demand for our products and services we are currently looking to recruit two full time developers to join our small but busy team. You will be working in a relaxed, informal environment (as long as the office dog likes you), where you will be an integral part of the development team.  Your ideas, thoughts, inputs will therefore have a direct impact on the output of the company – so don’t think you are going to end up as a small cog in a big wheel.

We are looking for bright, creative and resourceful individuals with a passion for technology and development.  Key skills required for the position include :

  • .NET Technologies :
    • Well versed with the .net framework 3.5 – 4.6
    • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
    • Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
    • Additionally ASP.net MVC skills highly beneficial
  • Development Technologies :
    • C#  (VB.NET also useful)
    • LINQ
    • XML / XSLT / XPath
    • Web development – HTML / Javascript / CSS
    • Relational Database experience / SQL
  • Development Methodologies  – (not mandatory but highly beneficial)
    • MVVM
    • Agile
    • Test Driven development

Commercial experience is not as important as technical ability – as we will need to guide and train you to utilise your skill-set in combination with travel industry technologies.

Successful applicants will need to possess a drive for self enhancement so they can continuously learn new skills and keep at the forefront of technology, design and engineering.
