Full-Stack Developer, Full-Stack Web Developer, Full Stack Engineer required on a full time, permanent basis in Oxford, OX4.

The successful applicant will work with a multi-discipline team of software engineers, researchers and field engineers responsible for the localisation and mapping software. We use cameras, Lidar and radar on the autonomous vehicle to estimate its location anywhere in the world under challenging weather conditions. We’re motivated by seeing our software used in the real world.

Our Full-Stack Developer, Full-Stack Web Developer, Full Stack Engineer will enjoy a day that sees you:

  • Take responsibility for the development and delivery of the web tool which enable large scale mapping and localisation for our autonomous vehicle fleet, including spec, design, build, test and deploy phases
  • Ask questions and be enthusiastic about learning how our autonomy and mapping stacks work
  • Work closely with members of the software team to understand and share responsibility of our deliverables and milestones
  • Communicate development status (as part of the sprint cycle) challenges and ideas with software teams and more broadly across the company
  • Comfortably working under pressure, ensuring that ambitious milestones are delivered
  • Understanding the importance of consistent coding styles, modularisation, testing, automation and agile development, and practice these in your everyday work


To successfully apply for our Full-Stack Developer, Full-Stack Web Developer, Full Stack Engineer role, you should be able to practically demonstrate:

  • Front-end web development experience, particularly JavaScript/TypeScript and React
  • Experience with modern JavaScript tools including package management (npm) and bundler (webpack)
  • Experience with backend frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask)
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing backend APIs to serve consumers in a production application

Extra kudos for any of the following:

  • Back-end or systems development experience in C++
  • Github profile and/or demonstrate a previous project you’ve worked on
  • Experience with WebGL / Three.js
  • Any background or experience in a related field, e.g. robotics, computer vision, computer graphics
